Deomali
Odisha's highest peak at approximately 1,672 metres, rising from the Koraput plateau with sweeping Eastern Ghats views.
Deomali is a broad, grassy-topped hill rather than a technical climb, reachable by vehicle most of the way with a short walk to the summit viewpoint. On a clear day the view extends across layered Eastern Ghats ridgelines toward the Andhra border.
It is best visited early morning, both for clearer visibility before haze builds and for cooler walking conditions.
