Chandipur beach at low tide with the sea retreated far from shore

7 Days / 6 Nights · comfort itinerary

Odisha Coastal Tour

Puri — Konark — Astaranga — Paradeep — Chandipur — Talsari

Odisha's coastline runs nearly 500 km and each stretch behaves differently — this itinerary strings together five distinct beach characters in a single loop that never doubles back on itself: pilgrimage shore, working fishing harbour, tidal flat and mangrove-backed border beach.

The sequence follows the coast north from Puri rather than jumping between regions: Astaranga is 65 km on, Paradeep another 90 km, then a longer 200 km run up to Chandipur before the final 90 km to Talsari at the Odisha–West Bengal border, so each day's drive is genuinely shorter than the last transition.

This suits travellers who have already seen the Puri–Konark temples and want a coast-focused second visit, or photographers wanting Chandipur's unusual tidal retreat and Talsari's casuarina-backed shore in one trip.

Tour highlights

  • Konark Sun Temple and Chandrabhaga beach
  • Astaranga's working fishing coast
  • Paradeep port and Mahanadi river mouth
  • Chandipur's dramatic tidal retreat
  • Talsari's quiet, casuarina-lined beach
